First Response
“Our training could make the difference between life and death!”

First aid and CPR training is not just for healthcare professionals. By taking a simple first aid and CPR training course offered by First Response you could save the life of an immediate family member or someone you work with. Our professionals have been educating southeast North Carolina for over ten years.  It’s always a good idea for corporations, schools, churches, adult/child daycares, contractors, gyms, retail stores, restaurants and also medical and dental offices to have an employee certified in first aid and CPR.  We offer on-site, specialized training in:

CPR:  Quick response when someone suffers cardiac arrest, from any cause, can literally be the difference between life and death.  This course teaches basic life support including choking for adults, children, and infants, and gives you the latest guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiac care.

Automated External Defibrillation (AED):  Nearly every two minutes, someone dies of sudden cardiac arrest. Automated external defibrillation could save a quarter of these lives.  AED devices are showing up everywhere from industrial settings to shopping malls.  This course makes it easy for anyone to learn to use an AED.

First Aid:  First Response believes everyone should know what to do in an emergency. That’s why they designed their first aid training to be accessible to all types of learners.  We'll teach you the essentials such as dealing with breathing emergencies, sudden illness and injury, bleeding, preventing disease transmission, and more.

Bloodborne Pathogens:  HIV, hepatitis B and C – if there’s any chance of contact with blood, there’s a risk of infection.  The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard provides guidelines for reducing that risk. This program shows you how to comply and put those guidelines into practice.

Fire safety and extinguishers: More than 4,000 Americans die each year in fires and approximately 25,000 are injured. An overwhelming number of fires occur in the home.  There are time-tested ways to prevent and survive a fire.  It’s not a question of luck.  It’s a matter of planning ahead.  This fire safety and extinguishers program teaches you important prevention skills and also how to operate an extinguisher to quickly put the fire out.

Our highly trained instructors use only state of the art training equipment and personalize training to meet your needs and schedules.  These courses have been designed to meet or exceed OSHA requirements with training that’s affordable, flexible, and easy to learn. Upon successful completion of course requirements, students will receive certificates valid for two years.

These programs are available for any age group, from preschooler to adult, and are designed to enhance understanding and increase participants’ confidence and skill retention.
